Biography
Grace van Arkel PhD, LLM, is the Policy Advisor Research Integrity within the Integrity Office of the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Previously, as from 1994 she worked as a labour lawyer, and from 2005 as an assistant professor in labour law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam where she, too, received her PhD degree on a comparative research in Dutch and American labour law. From 2011 to 2016, she became the Secretary of the Netherlands Board on Research Integrity (LOWI) and in this capacity its representative to the European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO). Subsequently, from 2017 to 2019, Grace was part of a Horizon 2020 consortium (ENERI: European Network of Ethics and Research Integrity), mapping and comparing the various national institutional structures for research integrity of the (more than 20) member countries of ENRIO. She also is member of the Program Committee for the ENRIO Congress 2025.
