Biography
Marcela Linková PhD is the head of the Centre for Gender and Science at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on the sociology of gendered organisations and institutional change, gender-based violence in academia, governance of research, and public policies for gender equality in R&I. Marcela is the Member State Co-Chair of the ERA Forum Sub-group on Inclusive Gender Equality and coordinates Horizon Europe project GENDERACTIONplus. Between 2017 and 2021 she was the chair of the ERAC Standing Working Group on Gender in Research and Innovation and coordinator of the Horizon 2020 GENDERACTION project. She is also involved in the GenderSAFE project and previously participated in multiple Horizon 2020 projects including UniSAFE, Gender-SMART, CASPER and GE Academy. Her work has appeared in European Journal of Women’s Studies, Gender and Research, and Science and Public Policy, among others. She is the alumna of the 2017 IVLP Women in STEM.
