Biography
Professor Marija Bešter Rogač received her doctorate from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she has long been a member of the academic community. In 2008, she was appointed Full Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. Her research focuses on the experimental analysis of ionic systems, particularly their properties in different solvent environments. She frequently collaborates with international partners, especially during her Humboldt Fellowship at the University of Regensburg in 1994, where she was able to further develop her expertise in physical chemistry. In addition to her research, Marija Bešter Rogač is very committed to promoting ethics and equality in science. From 2014 to 2018, she chaired the Commission for Women in Science of the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and advocated for more inclusion and equal opportunities in the scientific community.
