Biography
Roman Kuhar is a Professor of Sociology and a researcher at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. His research focuses on issues of discrimination, human rights, citizenship, and equality policies. He has participated in numerous national and international research projects and has published extensively, including scientific articles and edited volumes. Among his publications are Intersectionality: Perspectives on Structural, Political, and Representational Inequality (co-edited with M. Pajnik, University of Ljubljana Press, 2022) and Anti-Gender Campaigns in Europe: Mobilizing against Equality (co-edited with D. Paternotte, Rowman & Littlefield International, 2017). For the latter, he received the ARRS Excellent in Science Award in 2018. From 2017 to 2021, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana. He is currently a co-editor of Social Politics (Oxford University Press), head of the research programme at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, and president of the Slovenian Sociological Association.
